Nederlands Watermuseum
The Bagijnemolen was built in 1404 as part of St. Agnes convent and served as a working corn mill until the last miller retired in 1912. The building was later converted to a fish farm before becoming the Nederlands Watermuseum. More than 50 interactive exhibits explore the Netherlands' relationship with water: flood defence, the water cycle, drinking water management, and sewage systems. The original mill machinery is still visible inside. The museum sits quietly within the grounds of Park Sonsbeek — the entrance is easy to miss.
Specific exhibits include the Water Lab for hands-on experiments, a Water Workshop, a water cinema showing educational films, and a game that shows which parts of the Netherlands would flood at different water levels. A summer water playground operates outside for younger children. Grand Café Aan de Beek is on site.
