Day 2: Nationaal Park Veluwezoom

Hop on the bus from Arnhem Centraal to Rheden and spend the day hiking through Europe's oldest national park. The Posbank viewpoint offers sweeping views over the Rhine valley.

Take Breng bus 352 from Arnhem Centraal to Oosterbeek (approx. 15 min, every 20 min). The Airborne Museum Hartenstein occupies the former British HQ hotel and tells the full story of Operation Market Garden through immersive exhibits.

Take bus 3 from Arnhem Centraal to Burgers' Zoo (20 min). Set aside a full day — the habitats are vast and unhurried exploration is part of the experience.
