Park Angerenstein
The first recorded owner of the Angerenstein estate was Johan Coster in 1487, though the land's feudal history reaches back to St. Salvator Abbey in Prüm. The estate was developed through the 19th century by the Pallandt family, who added an orangery and coach house. During WWII the grounds served as the headquarters for the Nazi representative for Gelderland Province, and were sold to the municipality in 1941. Today the grounds are open freely to the public, with manicured gardens, ponds, streams, playgrounds, and a large diversity of bird species.
